Breaking: Man carried from library following alleged indecent exposure

by Katherine McKay

News

A man was seen being carried out of the University Library this morning surrounded by police, with witnesses alleging the individual had exposed himself.

A video seen by Hillhead Review has shown a man being carried out of the University of Glasgow Library by police and campus security. Eyewitnesses have alleged that the unidentified male indecently exposed himself on Level 2 of the University of Glasgow Library this morning. The video shows the man, barefoot, being carried by his arms and legs.

Following this incident, police were again seen inside the library this afternoon, and a small section of level 2 was cordoned off.

A table on level 2 was seen later in the day cordoned off by police.

A spectator at the scene told Hillhead Review that “police vehicles surrounded the Library. There were more waiting on University Avenue, and about ten officers stormed into the building. They carried the man out with his hands and feet in cuffs. I had no idea what was happening; I was so confused.”

The University or Police Scotland are yet to make an official statement.
