Three-candidate race confirmed for next SRC President
The full list of candidates for the SRC Spring elections have been confirmed, with three for the four sabbatical positions contested.
The race for President of the Student Representative Council (SRC) will be fought between three candidates next month, after nominations closed earlier today.
Students, Duncan Calvert, Hamza Ramzan, and Muhammad Waseem, are all competing to become the next President of the University of Glasgow’s largest student union.
The position of Vice-President for Education and Vice-President for Student Support are also contested by three and four students respectively.
Vice-President for Education is contested by Ayush Garg, Gerardo Guio Archila, and Aimée Storer.
Vice-President for Student support is being contested by Tasmia Ahmed, Frank Chen, Ayshah Jansen, and Rahul Ramesh Baviskar.
The final sabbatical position of Vice President for Student Activities is currently uncontested however, with no students nominated.
Candidate manifestos are due to be published online in the coming days, with hustings for sabbatical positions scheduled for Monday 3 March at 6pm in Room 201 of the John Macintyre building.
Voting will open for students at 9am Wednesday 5 March via the UofG Life app.
